IIT BHU is one of the top IIT colleges of India. Indian Institutes Of Technology BHU (Popularly known as IIT Varanasi) is a government engineering college located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. IIT Varanasi got 11th rank for engineering by NIRF. In addition, it is formerly known as Banaras Hindu University. It was established in 1919 and hence one of the oldest engineering colleges in India.

For admissions to IIT Varanasi’s BTech programmes, eligible aspirants need to fulfill the eligibility requirements for JEE Advanced. This includes an aspirant’s performance in JEE Main (Sometimes). In addition, with the number of attempts and his/her age. The main criteria are the performance in Class XII. Overall, for admission, you must fulfill all the criteria of JEE- ADVANCE.
The admission process of IIT BHU is same as other IITs. You can get admission in the following ways. For admission in any IIT, you must have a good score in JEE ADVANCE exam. In addition, you should score at least 75% marks. Sometimes they will ask a good score in JEE MAIN and XIIth board to sit in the IIT exam. Overall, you must have a good score in JEE-MAIN, 12th, and JEE-ADVANCED (to be in safe).
For getting admission in IIT BHU, you have to fill counseling form conducted by JEE-ADVANCED.
The placements are really good with the average package varying from branch to branch. The highest packages offered in the last 3 years were 2 crores, 1.5 crores and 2.5 crores (approximately) respectively. Almost everyone gets a job in a good company. If you are research-oriented, you can aim for higher studies.
The infrastructure of the college is pretty good. In addition, it is going to be better in a few years. There are quick bite centers at every junction. Hostels are pretty good except the old ones. Lecture theatres are pretty good. The campus is spread over 1500 acres (approximately).
The faculty members are nice, and they are of very helping and motivating nature. On the other hand, the course curriculum is a bit boring but essential too. In addition, a load of academics is very less compared to other IITs. Hence students can do anything they want and could carry on their interest.
