Christ University is a private university in India. It was established in 1969. It is located in Hosur, Bangalore. It is UGC approved. Also, Christ University is a member of the Association Of Indian Universities (AIU). It is one of the deemed universities in India. In addition, it is Grade A accredited by NAAC.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum cutoff for admission to PG courses at Christ University varies between 45-60% marks depending on the course. However, there’s no minimum cutoff fixed for admission to UG courses. The candidate planning to pursue a UG course at the university must have passed Class XII from a recognized board/university.

Admission Process

Admission to Christ University (Deemed to be University) is done on the basis of merit scored in previous qualifying exam, skill assessment and personal interview except BBA, BHM, B Com (H), B Com (Professional), B Com (International Finance), (MSc) in Mathematics and BA in Media Studies, Communication and Media, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, History, English, Psychology, Journalism.

The University conducts its own entrance test for the above-mentioned programmes. Post the first phase of the screening process, selected candidates are invited for Skill Assessment, Micro Presentation and Personal Interview rounds. For MBA (Tourism and Travel Management) admission, the university conducts Group Discussion along with Micro Presentation, Written Assessment, Verbal Assessment, and Personal interview.

For MBA the candidate must have appeared in any of the following competitive exam and must have scored at least the minimum marks fixed by Christ University (Deemed to be University).

Application Process

Candidates can apply at Christ University (Deemed to be University) online as well as offline mode.

Online mode

The applicants will have to create a login ID by registering on the Christ University (Deemed to be University) website by entering the email address, date of birth and mobile number. Applicants can fill and submit the application form along with the application fee of Rs 1000 through the payment gateway with a valid Credit / Debit Card / net banking facility.

Offline mode

Candidates will have to purchase the prospectus at the admission cell and fill the application offline. Then they will have to log on to the website by creating a login ID. After creating the ID they will have to click “Proceed with Application” option to enter offline application number and receipt number before entering all the details filled in the hard copy of the application.

Application forms of B Com (Regular), B Com (Finance & Accountancy) and B Com (Morning) must be submitted in person only to the Office of Admissions within 3 working days from the declaration of class XII results (Karnataka PUC / CBSE / ISC).

Other Boards whose results may be declared after the above-mentioned boards will be considered subject to availability of seats.

Admit Card

The admit card for the entrance exam will be issued five days prior to the scheduled date. The candidates can download their admit cars from the official website by logging in with the help of their Application Number and Date of Birth.


Scholarship 1

Merit Scholarship is being awarded in September every year. In the first year, the scholarship will be decided on the merit of the pre-entry marks, mid-semester test and attendance in regular classes. Merit scholarships for the consecutive years will be decided based on his/her performance in one end-semester and two mid-semester examinations of each year. Candidates whose fee ranges up to Rs.10,000 will be given 50% refund of fees, whose fees range from Rs.10,000 to Rs.25,000 will be given 25% of fee refund and whose fee ranges above Rs.25,000 will be given 10% refund of fee.

Scholarship 2

Scholarship for Financial Assistance must apply to the Office of Awards and Scholarships with supporting documents. A student who enrolls in the first year degree or P.G. course who is economically weak but diligent, especially from rural areas are eligible to apply. He/she should furnish enough evidence of his/her eligibility enclosing community/ income certificate from an official not below the ranks of a revenue inspector. Applications will be scrutinized, and a final interview with or without a parent/guardian by the scholarship committee will decide his/her eligibility.
Students seeking this scholarship at the time of admission are expected to fill up a separate application for a scholarship available along with their main application form and submit to the Office of Scholarships for perusal. The scholarship committee will then interview them on the allotted dates, and their concessions will be decided prior to the payment of their fees. The percentage of concession for different categories is recommended as 0 to 50% for self-financing courses and 0 to 90% for others

Scholarship 3

Alumni Association Scholarship of Christ University also helps economically weak students through the Alumni Fund. Students seeking support can approach the Alumni Office, Room No: 122, Innovation Centre, Ist Floor, IV Block.


Placements in this college are above average. It depends on your GPA in 10 semesters. The most important thing is, the internships should be at proper places, which will help you in getting placed. You need to keep up with general affairs. We have an internship and placements committee to help the students in getting internships and placements.


This college has the best infrastructure like other top private colleges. Christ has a wonderful class atmosphere in terms of infrastructure. In every class, there is a projector, Wi-Fi, speakers, and good ventilation. There are more than 19 canteens on the campus. Students never faced any problems regarding the infrastructure.
